Innocent Until Proven Guilty? Not in Canada.

Canada's Supreme Court has ruled that Police are able to confiscate money and property of individuals as "proceeds of crime" even if the individual they are stealing from has neither been charged nor convicted of a crime.

This reasserts my perspective that government is simply a legalized mafia.

Anyway, just because the Supreme Court made a bad decision doesn't mean the entire government is a "mafia".

No, you're right, that one instance in itself doesn't mean the government is a "mafia", but, it does reassert my perspective that it is a legalized mafia.

Actually, it does.

They can take from you by force, at will, under the guise of protecting you.

I'm pretty sure that's what mafia's do.

Sorry, mafias are elected. Hence, NOT a mafia.
