I'm always skeptical of actions taken by any politician, but this does seem like there is a faction of the Republican party trying to put back into place the fiscally sound policies the Republicans had been known for oh-so long ago. Kudos, for now.

In logic we call the fallacy that this author has committed deliberately "equivocation". Instead of using the proper definition of "socialism", the author equivocates it with "welfare liberalism", "corporate welfare", and "stewardship of the economy", all of which are not socialism.

Socialism is the collective ownership of the means of productions (the factories and farms). What Bush has done has had nothing to do with the means of production, and thus, it is not socialism.
Maybe right wing americans have their definition of socialism as the state has their own definition of inflation.
Maybe right wingers are liars who lie to themselves in order to make sure their Faith continues to make sense, even while it doesnt.
