My Garden

The garden is coming along. The snow peas are finally sprouting and I've got my very first strawberry! The lettuce has been having a hard go of it. I keep planting new seeds so hopefully it'll end up okay. The little sprouts are Dianthus (dianthae?). This weekend we're going to purchase a big pot and plant cucumbers.

I remember when I planted a bean plant in the garden at our house on Academy street. The beans tasted awful.

Thanks for the encouragement.

I had the greatest time watching them grow. It is one of my most vivid memories from Charles Street (whoops, wrong address). I couldn't have been more than 8 or 9. I think you were 2.

Sounds about right. I'm rather disappointed with the lettuce. The strawberry plants could be doing better as well, but we get a lot of wind.

The snows peas are coming along very nicely though.

hmmm the lettuce should be doing better. Time to take a short cut I would not normally recommend. Try some Miracle Grow for vegetables.

The liquid fertilzer will act quickly and should give them a boost.

There may be not enough nutrient in the soil. Lettuce is a heavy feeder.

I haven't used the organic fertilizer i bought with you yet. Think I should try that?
