Random thoughts and interesting tidbits. . .

"But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."
Thomas Jefferson

That video is retarded. The current American government is still a Republican democracy. The problem the retards who made the video have is not that the republic has been lost, but that a certain part of the republic wants to make decisions it disagrees with. The democrats have the 60 needed votes stipulated in the constitution. GET THE FUCK OVER IT>
"but that a certain part of the republic wants to make decisions it disagrees with."
The certain part of the republic wants to make a decision that is not authorized by the constitution; and they are able to do this because the government ignores the constitution, essentially making the rule of law meaningless and destroying the republic the people once had.
If a certain part of the republic wants to change the constitution, pass an amendment.
"The democrats have the 60 needed votes stipulated in the constitution."
They have the needed votes to legislate within their powers granted in Article 1 Section 8. Otherwise, pass an amendment and show that the state legislatures agree with the change.
