"But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."
Thomas Jefferson

What an ignorant liar. The conflict didn't start "1000s of years ago". It started when European Jews started emigrating to Palestine and eventually usurped what had been the native population's land. What a fucking liar.
You see, he uses the war as an excuse to complain about government spending.
Yes, we should get out of Israel, but let's keep the facts straight and not lie to keep our continuents happy!
I'm not sure how this lie keeps his constituents happy...
His conservative constituents that support "Israel".
Lol, for the number of times Ron Paul had called for all US funding of Israel to stop, sucking up to Israel now would certainly serve him no good.
Then he is ignorant.
o-k, then = therefore = yadda yadda yadda
I don't see how. He either knows the history of Palestine and lied about it or he doesn't know the history and is ignorant. Is there a third "yadada" option that I'm not seeing? Oh, wait! The famous, libetard "I'm-not-listening-to-the-facts-because-the-facts-disagree-with-me" is occuring here!
Well, I'm not going to pretend to know why he said, but I'm not going to accuse him of being malicious or ignorant either.
So, I see you have no alternative explantion. My conclusion is therefore that he was playing dumb to gain support with conservatives who are wary about the war and who would prefer an isolationist policy.

There's nothing isolationist about his foreign policy. I don't pretend to have an explanation, I'm sure he would. I'm not going to put him on a cross for making one incorrect statement without understanding his rationalization. I do know Paul doesn't pander.

That's exactly what he was doing. He has too much debate experience not to have encountered the history of Palestine in a debate. He was PANDERING.

It would be the first time of his life.
"It would be the first time of his life."
I doubt it.
