Random thoughts and interesting tidbits. . .
. . .focused on current economical and political events.
"But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."

Obama is not chanting the same thing as Bush, Josh, but he and his administration sure are silent on the point, which is almost the same thing.
The Obama admin stated that they were going into Afghanistan to get Osama and then was quiet on the subject.

At 0:59 Obama states his position on Al Qaeda.
The Southern "Avenger" is lying to you, Josh. Educate yourself.
Sorry...can you quote something said in this video that's a lie?
Er, the first important premise (that Obama is the same as Bush on Afghanistan)?
1:51
That Obama is still over there and has escalated the war is a de facto support for Bush foreign policy.
Not at all. He has stated the correct reason for being in Afghanistan: to stop the Islamic extremists that do not, as he said, represent all of the Muslim world.
The Southern Avenger was speaking as to why the extremists hate us. He was quote Michael Scheuer who said Obama was continuing the Bush-Clinton-Bush mantra that they hate us because we're free, but really they hate us because we're over there.
That Obama has escalated the war in Afghanistan is a default acknowledgment that the supports the mantra that they hate us because we're free, and not because we're over there.
Yet "they" no longer includes the entire Muslim world.
It really didn't with Bush either.

Interesting.
I'll come over to your side when you provide a quote of Obama stating that the Islamic extremists hate the West because it is free.
I don't think I'd be able to find that quote.
Its a moot point as far as I'm concerned.
Scheuer is incorrect to call it a mantra (although, he might be able to provide proof that there is a mantra that has permeated the past 4 presidencies). I just figure, its obvious these people are pissed off that the US is over there and the US leaders do not care.
Bush had to push the "they hate us because we're free" line because he was taking the most drastic actions.
Bush may have made speeches friendly to Muslims, but his administration definitely did state that the extremists hated freedom.
I still do not think the Avenger (Jack Hunter) lied about anything.
Obama is simply using 9/11 as his excuse, ignoring the whole question of "why?".
In the end, none of this matters.
"I just figure, its obvious these people are pissed off that the US is over there"
This much is true, because Obama has continued and extended the war in Afghanistan. That's enough.
"Obama is simply using 9/11 as his excuse, ignoring the whole question of "why?".
In the end, none of this matters."
Of course it matters. Subtle propaganda is the poison that permeates our generation.
Again, 9/11 is not excuse, the extremists do give the Muslim world a bad name, Obama is right for going in there. He has never said it was because "they hate freedom".
Again, find me a quote where he or one of his administration members said such a thing.
"Of course it matters. Subtle propaganda is the poison that permeates our generation."
It matters, but not for the purpose of this conversation.
"Again, 9/11 is not excuse, the extremists do give the Muslim world a bad name, Obama is right for going in there. He has never said it was because "they hate freedom"."
Then why does he think we need to be there?
Because they killed 3000 Americans and threaten to do it again? Sounds like a good reason to me..
