"But rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law,' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the right of an individual."
Thomas Jefferson

LOL. Kucinich brings up some good points, but he doesn't seem to know why the gold standard was slowly phased out.
The problem is not the federal reserve, but the people in the federal reserve and the corporations that put the politicians into power who dare not questions the actions of the FED too closely. They don't do this, because they would have to bite the hand that feeds them: corporate America.
Yes: Driven by fear, not fact.
Yes: That amount of money going to too few people.
Yes: Why are there no hearings? The monetary system has always been regulated by the government (the treasury in atristocratic times) and always will. This is a political issue; why aren't there any hearings?
Yes: Where is the discourse on a need for a bailout? It doesn't exist in the political mainstream. It's almost like everyone has suddenly turned into bobbleheads overnight. Will the world really end if we spend less on the bailout or spend nothing at all?
Yes: No alternatives have been considered.
Yes: Why don't we pass regulation to control the speculation that caused this? You know, the 60% of the companies that were not affected by the CRA? You know, the FED banks that lowered their standards?
Yes: What is to be done with the debt?
Yes: Why not put the money into helping sub-prime homeowners with their debt, instead of propping up the banks and private companies that caused this mess?
Yes: Mainstreet, not Wallstreet.
No: Debt-based monetary system? Does Kucinich really think that debt, credit, and usury started with the federal reserve? LOL, no way. Does Kucinich really think that gold has some sort of magical quality that protects it from fiat manipulation?
Yes: Congress is in the pocket of corporate America.
