Socialist America

Paul Mulshine writes an interesting article here regarding the state of America's socialism. He mentions Ron Paul a couple of times, so that is always a plus.

How many people in the world, Josh?

Don't want to do the economic math?

Want to hide in your idealistic bubble?

Paul Mulshine is a moron who doesn't seem to understand that those measures were implemented to thwart revolution. He also seem stupid enough to believe that making an argument will make the possiblity of revolution disappear, even if wages plummet.

Again, what is the population of the world?

hmmm one man loses $300,000 house, another on the otherside of the world has a job that puts food on his table...

Er, no.

Millions of men lose jobs that pay fair wages and only allow them to afford 100,000 dollar houses. The corporations downsized to hire wage slaves on the other side of the world, BECAUSE they live under an authoritarian regime.

Why not India? I think both know that answer.

Well, I know union employees for just about any company makes more money than I do. I could afford a $100,000 house, but unfortunately I don't want to live in a shack.

And that is where your understanding ends: your paycheck. The high, unionized wages, with overtime that is, drive up the average wage and the average salary. This is one of the primary reasons wages are falling. But dont worry! They make more thant you!

My point was that making the amount of money I make, I still survive. But the unionists demand more and that is what is pushing corporations out of north america. A fair wage needs to be fair to the employer and employee.

The wages you make are far above market worth. Without unionist wages to drive up the average wage, RIM would have no reason to justify paying you so much money.

Not many unions around to IT workers. They pay this much because the labour market in our industry sets the pay at this level.
I'm not anti-union. All I was saying is that certain unions have drived up wages too high which have caused their employers to look elsewhere for labour.
American car companies cannot build cars in america and sell them to americans and still make a profit because wages and benefits are costing them billions.

Sorry, your level of pay is still directly related to the unionized labour market. They are not mutually exclusive. Experience can only drive the average wage up so far.

Sorry, free market evangelists are anti-union by nature of their arguments.

How am I anti-union?

By vice of your political ideology.
